Food Truck at Temple Methodist Church/Supper House

It was a HOT sunny day but everyone agreed that was better than a cold snowy day!
Nine Rotarians, with the assistance of two fabulous interact students rallied and responded to the call for volunteers and got the job done! In the space of 90 minutes we distributed #7,500 lbs. of fresh food including assorted fruit, assorted produce, eggs and milk to more than 100 households. Many vehicles picked up food supplies for extended family, elder neighbors, those without vehicles etc. in some of our needy and outlying residential areas.

Arbor Day

Arbor Day 2021 resulted in 58 trees being planted by 18 volunteers. Tree varieties included Hackberry, River Birch, Red Oak, white Pine, Catalpa, and Poplar. It was a true community effort with help from the City of Muskegon, West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission, Muskegon Rotary Club, Baker College of Muskegon Rotaract Club, Mona Shores Rotary Interact Club, and Muskegon High School.

Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup

Muskegon Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact members worked hard to clean up approximately three miles of Lake Michigan  beach and waterfront in downtown Muskegon  and at Heritage Landing. They filled 20 plus bags of trash plus wood and tires. In all, members removed an estimated 300 lbs. of plastic and small trash not including the wood and tires.
